2. The Omron HJ105 Pedometer

This got the overall highest score on our pedometer testing. Its 7-day memory makes it ideal for people who are recording their steps for Circle Canada or other cumulative step-counting programs. In addition to counting steps, calories and kilometers the HJ105 can also separate continuous (aerobic) steps from intermittent movement and has a sensitivity lever to fine-tune the step counting function. The HJ105 is resilient and reports to our office have them still functioning after being dropped in the toilet (3), going into a lake attached to a dog collar (1) and, most recently, going through the wash and dry cycles of a Spanish washing machine.

3. Pedometer in a Pill Bottle
